Balancing act

As a wife, mother and entrepreneur, managing time is a delicate balancing act for Yolanda Choy-Tang. But Choy-Tang wasn't ready to settle into a quiet life at home. "It's really hard going from being in the office every day, being really busy, to waiting at home to have a child. So my mind was really active and I was thinking all sorts of ideas."

It was during her pregnancy with son Brandon, now six years old, that Choy-Tang started Central Weddings. "I spent a lot of time starting the business, but now it really runs on its own," she says. That means she can work from home on brand development and marketing, and plans to expand into the mainland - not to mention overseeing her and her husband's winery in Sonoma, California. The rest of Choy-Tang's time is focused on family, which also includes her daughter of almost two years old, Hayley, and personal interests ."My priorities are just making sure everyone is doing what they should be doing," she says.
