The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Concept Acoustic Research
Before we begin, I will say that in the title above, we say that this is a new minute repeater for "all." Jaquet Droz Unveils Dance-Inspired Timespieces
JAQUET DROZ has unveiled two limited-edition watches in collaboration with the Béjart Ballet Lausanne and watercolorist Stéphanie Barba.

The Tempest Commodore
Tempest might not immediately ring a bell with you, to be honest it didn’t ring a bell for us either. This changed when distributor FORaSEC contacted us and introduced us to Tempest watches. An appointment was quickly made and we received a couple of Tempest watches to write a review and take some pictures. Keep on reading if you want to learn more about this micro brand and the new Commodore watches.
Tempest is a so-called micro brand and focuses on delivering interesting and unique designed watches for an attractive price. Unique designed means that it is by no means a sticker brand, so all parts are made on the specification of Tempest (with the exception of the movement of course) by several suppliers.

The Tempest Commodore is being manufactured in Asia and – as mentioned earlier – completely to the specifications of the owner of the brand. This means that – for example – the titanium case is exactly manufactured with all its details and finishing to match the standards of Tempest and not just using a case from a selection of possibilities in the catalogue of a supplier.

Hoptroff No. 16 Atomic Wrist Watch
The Hoptroff No. 16 is the first wrist watch from the "atomic watchmaker" Richard Hoptroff that brought you the No. 10 Atomic Pocket watch. aBlogtoWatch interviewed Richard Hoptroff and discussed personal atomic timekeeping and the No. 10 pocket watch here. Today, Hoptroff has released the Hoptroff No. 16 Atomic wrist watch that contains a chip scale atomic clock and features a range of time and calendar data.www.bienmontre.com/iwc-montres-replique-46 In full power mode, the Hoptroff No. 16 atomic wrist watch is accurate to 1.5 seconds each thousand years, but the question is whether or not you will want to wear something with this design for that long.
While Richard Hoptroff can be credited with producing the world's first timepiece with an on-board atomic clock, it was Bathys Hawaii that officially produced the first atomic clock wrist watch. Hoptroff wasn't too happy about that, as I understand it, so he pushed forward to have the first commercially produced atomic clock wrist watch with the Hoptroff No. 16 (I want to know what the No. 15 looked like). At 83.7mm wide, the No. 16 isn't exactly for the weak-wristed. Though, it is wearable, given that all that size is horizontal. The watch is a wearable 43.4mm tall, and 18.7mm thick. Why so large? Well it needed to incorporate the Symmetricom CSAC of course.

Hoptroff attempts to give this admittedly nerdy wrist watch gadget a bit of an old world flair with its classically derived design. In order to give the Hoptroff No. 16 atomic wrist watch less visual mass, Hoptoff separates the case into two side-by-side dials, in a watch that is slightly reminiscent of the MB&F Horological Machine No. 1 (HM1). Hoptoff claims that this design scheme is meant to remind people of the figure eight infinity symbol - which the double dials technically are if you look closely. There are also sort of creepy looking faces that look at each other between the two dials. You can see more of the infinity symbol theme on the dials themselves.
